First Russian-German conference on Biomedical Engineering has been held in Hannover from 23 to 26 october

The researchers of the “Center for Probe Microscopy and Nanotechnology” add Department of quantum physics and nanoelectronics together with the stuff of “Biomedical Engineering” and “Data Processing and Computer Software Design” chairs of National Research University of Electronic Technology participated in the First Russian-German conference on biomedical engineering”, which has been held in Hannover, Germany from 23 to 26 october.

Works in the field of biocompatible electrodes based on carbon nanotubes; biological sensors based on various nanostructures: nanotubes modified by aptamers, SAW sensors on gallium nitride epitaxial heterostructures were presented during poster session.

One of the most promising research area, which has been presented by researchers of Leibniz Universistät (main organizer of the conference from German side), is developing methods of cochlear implants integration by direct contact of biocompatible electrode and cochlear nerve. Center for Probe Microscopy and Nanotechnology has a unique experience in developing and fabrication of various biocompatible structures by focused ion beam lithography, which can be used to meet challenges in this research area
