The fellows of Center for Probe Microscopy and Nanotechnology took part in the International Aviation and Space salon MAKS - 2013
From August 27 to September 1, 2013 at the airport of Gromov Flight Research Institute (Zhukovsky) held the International Aviation and Space salon (MAKS-2013), which is one of the largest international platforms to showcase the achievements of science and industry in the field of aerospace engineering. Since beginning MAKS have greatly expanded areas of interests and presents the results of developments in the field of defense and rescue techniques, as well as in the field of security and education.
MIET presented the development of our Center in flexible transparent conductive coatings based on carbon nanotubes and GaN transistors with high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) in the "University science and aeronautical technical creativity of youth." One of the developments (microwave transistors on GaN) can be used to create the active phased array (AESA) which are established in Russia in the radar of the MiG-29, Su-27, as well as in Sukhoi PAK FA (T-50).
Students and graduates of our Center presented their projects and also visited the stands of aircraft manufacturers, as well as have watched the flight show of the program prepared by the Russian and foreign groups. The leading examples of aircrafts can be seen in action: attack helicopters Mi-28N ("Night Hunter") and Ka-52 ("Alligator"), Su-35, MiG-29, T-50, the largest world's largest passenger airliner A-380 and many others.
