11-15th September 2012 – first training of SEC “Probe microscopy and Nanotechnology” employees at Plastic Logic GmbH facility, Dresden, Germany.

 

   In September 2012 the training of SEC “Probe microscopy and Nanotechnology” employees at Plastic Logic GmbH facility, Dresden, Germany took place. The training, which was made intensive, lasted for 3 days. In the frame of professional training program on the speciality “Organic Electronics”, developed by MIET in collaboration with Plastic Logic GmbH, one of the leading companies in the field of plastic electronics, the best students were invited to visit firm’s plant in Dresden, Germany. Of three students who accepted the invitation, two are the employees of SEC “Probe microscopy and Nanotechnology” at Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology – third- and first- year postgraduate students Ivan Komarov and Igor Fedorov. Due to their successful diploma presentation, they were granted the ability to see the R&D background of Plastic Logic GmbH. By the way, the main product of the company is display devices on the basis of flexible polymer substrates, also with active elements made of polymer and organic materials. Students during these 5 days could see the most versatile tools and equipment for organic electronic devices production and investigation, and get the knowledge and experience from the most valuable company’s specialists.

   In their free time students could visit a variety of historic places and sights of Dresden. For example, the most worth seeing is museum complex Zwinger, which includes not only old and new time masters picture galleries, but abundant collections of historic rarities, armors chamber, and the treasury of Saxon prince electors enchanting any woman with huge diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other gems. Also you could take an excursion to the head plant of VolksWagen company in Europe, located in the vicinity of Dresden. And after long and tiring cultural trips tourists often appreciate having an original meal of Saxon cuisine or, perhaps, seeing themselves great panoramic views of Dresden.
